Training for DSC Program and MAC Program
   
   
  MAXIMUS provides detailed training on all aspects of the MAC and DSC programs. Additionally, training materials including PowerPoint presentations and handouts are available for your use. You will be able to access these training materials when available by selecting the "Downloads" page, located on the left hand side of the web page.

DSC Program:
Understanding the Direct Service Claiming Process is essential to the success of the DSC Program. As such MAXIMUS has information available for topics including:
· What services eligible for reimbursement
· What to consider when choosing a billing agent
· How to register providers / LEAs / and link them together
· How to read a remittance advice (RA)
· Helpful hints / timelines for DSC Coordinators
· Ensure LEAs are billing for the appropriate services (e.g., a nurse isn't billing for speech therapy services)

MAXIMUS is also available to assist LEAs in training their staff on the procedures necessary to complete Provider Service Logs. Furthermore, MAXIMUS conducts Regional Information Sessions to discuss topics related to the DSC Program. For additional information please contact your assigned MAXIMUS Account Manager.


MAC Program:

Training is essential to the success of the MAC Program. As such, MAXIMUS requires that individuals receive training no less than once every 12 months. To assist school districts / charter schools, MAXIMUS has created training modules for the various aspects of the MAC Program including:

· MAC Coordinators
· MAC Finance Contacts
· Time Study Participants

Arizona School Based Medicaid Claiming Programs :
Regional Information Sessions (RIS) are conducted around the state to supply LEAs with updated MAXIMUS information and other pertinent program material for both the DSC and MAC Programs. It is recommended that LEA personnel (including Special Education Directors and Business Managers) attend. Information related to upcoming sessions will be posted to the calendar page of this website.
